Rebecca is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker. She is an approved Victims Services and Medicare provider.

For the last five years, Rebecca has developed a focus of counselling with individuals from 16 years and adults who have experienced depression, anxiety, other mental health conditions as well as other impacts from interpersonal trauma.

She has been working with young people, adults and families in various roles for “a very long time”.

The development of a safe therapeutic relationship is very important to how Rebecca works collaboratively with her clients. She is trauma informed, applying her knowledge and skills working with people who have experienced childhood sexual assault, domestic violence and other relational trauma.

Rebecca takes an integrative approach to therapy depending on individual needs. She uses various modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) strategies and places great value on psychoeducation and mindfulness/somatic interventions.

Rebecca’s experience in these ways of working foster understanding, connectedness with self and others along with personal empowerment. Rebecca participates in regular peer and clinical supervision and ongoing training. She also supports and supervises social work students during their student placement in the local area.
