Amy is a Social Worker who specialises in working with children and adolescents.

More recently she has expanded her practice to also work with adults. Amy is an Accredited Sandplay Practitioner and is also accredited to work with Victims of Crime.

Amy has 20 years of experience working with children and adolescents. The majority of this experience was gained in a school counselling context where she supported young people in the areas of emotional regulation, adjusting to change, parent separation, grief and loss, relationship issues, motivation, problem solving, anxiety, depression and safety planning.

Since being in private practice Amy continues to work with young people experiencing a range of issues as well as supporting young people and adults in dealing with the impacts of trauma. Amy also works with young people and adults who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault and other forms of trauma. She finds her role in private practice very rewarding.

Amy uses a wide range of modalities to inform her practice including CBT, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. Amy uses Trauma Informed Principles in her practice and has a strong emphasis on Mindfulness to help her clients better regulate their emotions.
